Setting up Outlook 98 for Windows.
- Open Microsoft Outlook 98.
- Select Tools -> Accounts from the menu.

- Click on the “Mail” tab.
- Click on the “Add” button and select “Mail”.

- Enter your name in the space provided.
- Click “Next”.

- Enter your full email address in the space provided and click “Next”.

- Select “POP3” from the drop-down list and enter “mail.idmi.net” for both the incoming and outgoing mail servers.
- Click “Next”.

- Select the “Log on using” radio button and enter your full email address in the “POP account name” box.
- Enter your password in the “Password” box and click next.

- Type in the name you would like Outlook to refer to the account by and click “Next”.

- Choose your connection type and click “Next”.

- Click “Finish”.

- Select Tools -> Accounts from the menu.
- Click on the “Mail” tab, and then double click on the name of the account you just created on the list that appears.
- Click on the “Servers” tab.
- Check the “My server requires authentication” box.
- Click the “Settings” button next to the box you just checked.

- Make sure that “Use same settings as my incoming mail server” is selected and click “OK”

- Click the "Advanced" tab.
- In the "Outgoing mail (SMTP)" field, change 25 to 587.
- Click “OK”.
- Click “Close”.
