Setting up Outlook 98 for Windows.

1. Open Microsoft Outlook 98.
2. Select Tools -> Accounts from the menu.

3. Click on the “Mail” tab.
4. Click on the “Add” button and select “Mail”.

5. Enter your name in the space provided.
6. Click “Next”.

7. Enter your full email address in the space provided and click “Next”.

8. Select “POP3” from the drop-down list and enter “mail.idmi.net” for both the incoming and outgoing mail servers.
9. Click “Next”.

10. Select the “Log on using” radio button and enter your full email address in the “POP account name” box.
11. Enter your password in the “Password” box and click next.

12. Type in the name you would like Outlook to refer to the account by and click “Next”.

13. Choose your connection type and click “Next”.

14. Click “Finish”.

15. Select Tools -> Accounts from the menu.
16. Click on the “Mail” tab, and then double click on the name of the account you just created on the list that appears.
17. Click on the “Servers” tab.
18. Check the “My server requires authentication” box.
19. Click the “Settings” button next to the box you just checked.

20. Make sure that “Use same settings as my incoming mail server” is selected and click “OK”

21. Click the "Advanced" tab.
22. In the "Outgoing mail (SMTP)" field, change 25 to 587.
23. Click “OK”.
24. Click “Close”.
