Setting up Outlook Express for Windows.

1. Open Outlook Express.
2. Select Tools -> Accounts from the menu.

3. Click the “Mail” tab.
4. Click the “Add” button, and then select “Mail” from the menu that appears.

5. Enter your name in the space provided.
6. Click the “Next” button.

7. Enter your email address in the space provided.
8. Click the “Next” button.

9. Leave the “My incoming mail server is a” drop down menu set to “POP3”.
10. Enter “mail.idmi.net” in the spaces provided for “Incoming mail server” and “Outgoing mail server”.
11. Click the “Next” button.

12. In the “Account Name” field, enter your full email address (xxx@domain.com).
13. Enter your password in the field provided.
14. Make sure “Remember Password” is checked.
15. Click the “Next” button.

16. Click the “Finish” button.
17. Click on the mail account you just created and then select “Properties”.

18. In the menu that appears, click on the “Servers” tab.
19. Check the box next to “My Server Requires Authentication”.
20. Click the “Settings” button.

21. On the menu that appears, make sure that the “Use same settings as my incoming mail server” option is selected.
22. Click "OK".

23. Click on the "Advanced" tab.
24. Change the "Outgoing mail(SMTP)" port number from "25" to "587".
25. Click “OK” and then click “Close".
