IDMI.Net E-Mail Password Policy

All e-mail passwords for accounts hosted by IDMI.Net must conform to the following security standards:

  1. They must be between 4 and 10 alphanumeric characters long.

  2. They cannot be, in whole or in part, equal to the e-mail address. Example: For the account, “myuser@ourvalleynow.com”, both “myuser” and “ourvalleynow” would be unacceptable passwords.

  3. They cannot be, in whole or in part, equal to the name of the account holder, the name of the account holder’s company, or the name of any of said company’s products.

  4. They cannot be a “commonly used” password such as; “password”, “open”, “sesame”, “letmein”, “knock”, “1234”, or anything similar.

  5. They should not be otherwise easy to guess. Names of friends, relatives, pets, etc. are all poor passwords as anyone knowing the account holder might guess them.
